I agree with Manthieus on this one, I never really liked the idea of dropping professions to squeeze the most out of a current content system. Manthieus also has a video explaining the changes. This also allows everyone with legacy recipes from older expansions to keep those w/o the fear of missing out on some new currency. I personally love the changes since I don´t think you should get a competitive advantage by iterating through all professions in a system that is designed to reward those who focus & specialize on something. Keep in mind that Knowledge Point Books 2 and 3 are both timegated by Artisan Consortium reputation requirements, so you can´t buy them early on anyway. Since everyone now starts the expansion with 260 free AT w/o ever touching any profession ( 200 from Dragon Shards of Knowledge + 60 from weekly), the currency doesn´t seem to be a huge bottleneck anymore. If you planned to do AT shuffeling, think again if it´s really worth the effort. This also means that the net cost of the Knowledge Point Books are now even more cheaper, since you get 50 AT back after using them (75 for gatherer´s). Since they reward 3 Knowledge Points, each of them still grant you 15 AT on top. You still get 5 AT from every Knowledge Point that you manage to obtain from other sources - including the list of open world items that u/Jeanssie, myself and a couple of other goblins are currently creating (btw will update on sunday).

AT cost for the 3 Knowledge Point Books acquired from the Artisan Consortium reduced from 100/200/300 to 100/150/200.

AT gained from ' Dragon Shard of Knowledge' buffed from 25 to 50.

AT gained from finding new Mining & Herb nodes reduced from 5 to 3.

It seems that blizzard got brought to attention that there is infact a flaw in the system and deployed some changes to the currency with the last weekly beta reset.įrom what I can tell, following changes have been made:ĪT gained from 'First Craft Bonuses' for crafting professions were cut down from 5 to 1. Chill and just stay with your profession´s of choice.Ģ weeks ago, I made a post about the new profession currency ' Artisan Mettle(AT)', which also got referenced in wowhead shortly after.

TL:DR Bonus Artisan Mettle gained from cycling through professions got completely slashed.
